Things to do near the Adirondacks (south of)

Going into Upstate NY this weekend, looking for some things to do with the family.

Two kids, teenagers, 12 and 15, and a Superduty Oh, and a Boxer (dog) so ... needs to be somewhat dog-friendly as well.

With the wrong tires on it (highway) however, so I am staying strictly on-road or packed dirt.

Going to be near (in) Johnstown, about 10 miles southeast of Sacandaga Lake, boat rentals? Anything CHEAP but still decent?

Thanks for any pointers or tips

A 3 wood away from me bud, I'm in Fonda. The Fonda Fair is running through the 7th. Really popular in this area.
As for boat rentals...there are lots of 'em on the lake, the best is Northampton Marina(518-863-8127) near the Northampton Campsite(NYS operated camping)
What are your actual visit dates??

If the Fair is up your alley(I'd be there if I was more mobile) you can park in my yd and walk to it..about a 5min walk and save 10-15 bucks parking.

If the boxer is behaved(doesn't eat Sassy) I can mutt sit

Carl, that might very well be the ticket.

We're going up tomorrow, should be, and then leaving on Sunday.

I just might take you up on this. Seriously.

PM me your address

The dog is very well behaved. He's been around smaller dogs and didn't eat THEM, and sassy would be like a pig roast for about 50 people. He'd only take one or two bites before getting full

The only thing I would be worried about is that he needs to be tied up - will be bringing a 60 foot lead, and leash anyways.

This might be very cool. The Fair looks nice too.
