Good Morning Miles, and happy September. Well, first day back from my vacation. I was sick as a dog yesterday, had stomach flu, along with my wife and daugher. Probably shouldn't be in here today.
Should have the motor out this week, and hopefully the body ready to come off by the weekend. One of the guys in the Nebraska chapter has a junkyard, and he has a 68 cab that I'm going to look at, with much better floors that my 67.
Pretty much. I'm going to lift it a few inches, nothing radical, and drop a 390 in it. Probably put a seat in from a 90's -150, like the split bench that my 97 has.
Yeah, it's just going to take me a couple of years. Don't have the cash on hand to do it in a short period of time. I'll start on the body next year, get it as close to ready for paint as possible, then have a body shop shoot it. Then the motor the following year.

I hear ya Pat. Mine has been a work in progress since I was 14. It is a labor of love but it is finally coming together.
I am going to have to follow your build closer now that you are digging in.
Good Morning to all my Wyoming buds! Miles, from what I've seen of your truck, you've done a fantastic job on it! I'm hoping to see it in person someday. And, your right, it is a labor of love. I'm never happier than when I am up to my elbows in that truck!
Sounds like Pats prodject is off and running, I shall be interested in following how it comes along as well. Miles your right these are a labor of love that comes all together on that first drive....hope I will have time to start something now as well.
Good morning everyone, hope all is well and a good day is to be had. I sat here for a while this morning surveying this past week and think to my self that I have had quite a time.
Good fortune has come into my life and I begin yet another chapter in living my next 50 years as I have reapplied for my old job as line tech at Laramie Peak Motors……a Ford dealership in Wheatland, Wyoming which I will start on September 15. I have been away 11 years having focused on this ranch which I will continue to live at but will cut out the 17 hour days that have been occurring mostly during the summer time and weeks that go by without knowing that there had been weekends that have come and gone.
I cannot complain but I have come a long ways since spring of 99 knowing as time goes along that I have missed working in the Ford dealerships so I look forward even though I have a lot of catch up to do to reassuming my status and work towards my masters doing what I love.
It shall be one heck of a ride……………I have other things that are taking place in my life at this time as well………..but I shall wait for a later time to disclose as things work along but can assure that I’ am loving life. Must go for now but will get back soon.
