Drove good all day into a 25 mph head wind which slowed us down 3 tenths and 6 mph. I raced a guy I haven't raced in the first round and I broke out. The wind was up and down all early afternoon and I flat out missed on the dial. Goosed it once, tapped the brakes and broke out by .0398. Dialed a 11.96 and ran a 11.92.
I have decided to go the very last race since it is also the first day for 2010 points and I plan on being in the top 4 and going to Topeka for the ET finals. My dad managed to secure a little sponsorship for next year so we are not broke any longer.
Busy day here in Cheyenne. Been setting up for the next honor flight and finishing some work that needed to be completed by noon. Only 3 hours behind. Pat, the tire shops sponsorship really helps out with 8 dollar a gallon race fuel and a new generator. I took a trip to Cabelas and pickup us this inverter at a significant discount after they fix the shipping damage.
