okay, so i changed the water pump this past weekend, replaced the coolant, new thermostat housing and thermostat. i then replaced the idler pulley and the belt tensioner. seemed to drive fine for a few days, and still does except for tis horrible squealing noise upon revving the engine. at idle you can hear it "pop" like it wants to squeal but never does, but when i depress the pedal it will howl. WTF could this be? i tried to listen with a pipe to all of the pulleys but couldn't tell anything. surely the water pump hasn't gone bad in a week. i got it new from NAPA, not reman. any advice would be appreciated. oh also, it does it with the AC both on and off so i dont think its that. it sounds like its coming from that side or in the center but not on the power steering pump side. any advice you could give would be great, thanks!!
checked it last night and noticed a slight womp womp noise when i spun it by hand. almost lie a mild scraping in the ac pulley. will be replacing today. wow, when it rains, it pours i guess. thanks for the heads up!!
ok, now i have replaced water pump, belt tensioner, idler pulley and AC compressor , pulley and clutch. SQUEALING NOISE still there!!! could it be the freaking belt?? belt is like no more than 2 years old i would say. i sprayed belt dressing on the belt this am and it did change the pitch of the noise from a high pitch squeal to a bit of a dampened screech, not a s loud but still pretty dang abnormally noticeable. i guess im gonna change the belt this afternoon and see where that gets me. this is ridiculous!!!
