Yep, my BIL is looking in Seattle today for one. He just got back from Reno last night.

If I can't find one cheap enough I may just put a carb and regular ignition on it. To hell with computers.................

I need to j-yard another TK-5 trans for my old Ranger, the input bearings are getting really noisy........Cheaper just to replace the whole gearbox than fix it......You are lucky that F-150 is a manual.......If it was auto, there would be no way to scrap out the computer.

I don't know jack about Rangers. I've got a couple of 5 speeds from a couple of Mazda Pickups, will they work?

Thanks for the offer, Don!.....I think they are peculiar to Rangers even though they were built by Mazda, I will have to check.

It's been like a tomb in here. I know it's summer, but it only takes a few minutes to make a post. What I think is really weird is I get requests from people to join our chapter, I accept them and then they NEVER make a post in here...WTF?

I guess they are too busy talking to people on the other side of the country, to realize theres people right here in OR who can answer their questions. It does get discouraging.

Heading that way on the 13th. Kind of funny on the planning, going to work on the Grandparent's house on Grandparent's Day.
