Measured and cut out the holes for the mount studs, using a drill and the die grinder.

Time to see if it all worked. Bolted the engine up to the tranny, and lowered them in. With everything set, the engine has about a 4.5 degree angle (should get another degree or so when the cab and front clip are on. Tranny will sit right where I'll want it!

Now, for the bad news. Captain crack head must have been off on one of his measurements, the Pass. side sits just off canter on the perch. So, that's next to be addressed, I'll have to do some cutting and re-welding to get it to sit right.

Looks to be off center..... just kidding... had to throw some humor in this after all the serious, and way professional work you did Pat. Looks just fine... and I have no doubts that it will do the job you intended it to do in the first place...

Great work..

OMG ! I did not mean it... but isn't that just prophetic? joke around for one second, and much to my chagrin, my joke turns out to be not only off center, but a joke about bad news, which is never correct... Sorry to the max amigo... I did not mean to jinx the build...

Time to go check the smoker...

It's only a minor setback to time and effort. It's nothing that can't be fixed with a little more time and a little more effort.

Exactly! Cut three sides pry up to get your corrected angle and weld it up.

Looking good!

Yeah, first time doing some major frame work like this, so, not surprised it didn't work with the first shot!

Yes, brushed on POR-15. I may have had 2 quarts, but, it's been 5 years, so I can't remember! Sorry!

Did a lot of small cuts, and set the engine. Pull it, cut some more, set it again. After 3 tries, fits perfect. Burned it in, cleaned it up, and set the engine again. Fits like a glove! Now, on to that trans mount.....

A little bit of a hassle but now it fits. Wasn't the end of the world after all.
