Got a little done yesterday. Ground the weld down on the front dash section, and welded a few pinholes shut. Sprayed it with some puff can primer to keep it from rusting. I'll be blasting the entire dash, then shooting it with epoxy, once I'm done with the mockup.

Went down to the U-pull it yard today, and after an hour of wandering around, found a seat for the truck. Removed the new brackets (I think the truck was an 89), drilled out the threaded holes, where the bolts from the factory brackets went, then slipped on the 67's brackets. Fits like a glove! I'll have the seat recovered and refoamed when I get to doing the interior.

Looks great Pat! I didn't realize newer seats would fit in the pre-1973 cabs.

Thanks guys! Yeah, you can pretty much put any seat up to a 96 in them. I really wanted a 60/40 split bench, like my 97 have, but you'd have to do a ton of changes to it, and this is almost as good.

That looks like a great upgrade Pat, what type of upholstery work you plan to have done?

Thanks guys! I'd like to do the seat in leather, and also have door panels made for it. I know you can buy a kit, that covers around the rear windows, that can be covered, and a custom headliner that can also be covered.

BTW, I'm going to shamelessly copy Gavins tank install in this thread

https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...tallation.html

He does some incredible work!

Not a shameful act Pat, that's what these sites are for, to get ideas and share. I used a 73 Blazer tank in the panel and going with a 78 Bronco in this pickup. That plastic tank will last forever.
