Thought I'd throw up a few updates. The front suspension/steering is complete. New adjustable drag link and track bar. And, the power steering box is now fully mounted.

Had to get the cab and box off, so I can get the rest of the frame done. Brake lines, tranny mount, powersteering box mounted, etc. Unfortunately, I was short on help, so, time to get resourceful. To get the cab off, I used a technique one of the guys here used, worked like a charm.

To lift the box, just used some tie down straps, and the engine hoist. Re-assembled the dolly for it I had from last year.

As I spend a lot of time these days working solo - it's key to find creative ways to do some of this stuff...lol. Hoist works good for those things.

Making some good progress. Is the frame painting completed except for the spots that you have had to make some modifications to?

Couldn't get all the brakes together. Since I lifted the truck, the hoses to the axles are too short, so, awaiting the extended hoses from Bronco Graveyard. Also, I have some brake parts missing (I think some of the stuff got thrown away by one of my BIL's, when I was storing it at the farm), so, have those on order also. But, I did want to get the drums, and front hubs painted, so, shot them in high temp satin black.

So, time for some updates. Cab and box back on. I knew I was going to have to modify the core support, to fit the new power steering box. So, got that done. Also, had to do some trimming on the inner fender also.

On to the box. Drivers side first. So, I knew I was going to have to replace the flange that goes along the top of the box side, it got pretty roached when I pulled these off. I”m going to cut it off for now, so I don’t get cut, patching the rest of the panel. I’ll weld strips back on later.

There are two spots on this box side that are pttied pretty bad. I had considered getting a patch panel, for the back half, but, I’m going to try and patch it. If it doesn’t come out well, I’ll get a replacement panel. So, cut out the bigger one at the back first.

Of course, these spots just had to be along the bump of the body line. Since I don’t have a proper bender, had to make one. Two 2x4’s, and a 2x6 did the trick.

Tacked it in, did a few adjustments with a hammer and dolly, and finised the welding. Since someone on here accused me of being a “burner”, I’ve posted pics before I finish the panel.

That was a great idea on how to make a bender and keep up the good work.
