Mid winter update: Along with the parts for the steering, I ordered this from LMC. I normally won't go through LMC, but, they were the only ones I found that carried these. I can tell that it will need some work to fit correctly.
So...I had a thought....I was planning on doing some sort of plate, to install the 79 steering box on the 67's frame. But, I'm wondering....... (and this is usually where it gets dangerous)....Instead, maybe I could cut the front frame section off of a 77-79 4x4, and , cut the same off of my 67 frame, then, have that welded on to my 67 frame...Box would bolt right on in the perfect spot.........Just thinking.....

Thoughts?
Would you have room to fish plate it and box that section for strength and have no interference from them..? Could you plug the existing holes and re drill the needed holes so you are not compromising the frame..
If I remember right the frame width is different, I know the rear section is different. I found that out when looking for a 4.10 rear end for my 79 F250.

The frame has a few indentations that won't fit the 79 box very well.

Denny
I just want the from left frame section, ahead of the front suspension.
Well, it's that time of year again! Truck is out of storage, and the work began last night. Working on getting the steering box mounted, since it's an enormous pain in the butt moving this thing around with no steering! Did manage to get a pic of it, with our 50 year old Mustang.
