I've mad racks out of 2x4's for painting. The ones for the axles were interesting, but the best way to get them painted.

Hapiness is new U-joints! It was a Bass-Tuurd to get the old ones out. Had to use the blue wrench to heat them up.

Well, everything now has two nice shiny coat of Eastwood's 2X chassis black paint. I'll let it cure for a few days, then get the frame back to a rolling chassis. All except for the brakes, I'll do those as it nears final completion.

Well, got bit by LMC. I bought an upper coil spring mount bracket from them, since one of mine had the bolt broken off in it, I figured I'd just replace it. Well, it wasn't made right, the spring is REALLY loose in it, dammit. So, brought the old one in here to work, to have the machinist drill it out for me. So much for getting anything else from LMC.

Edit: Guys here at work saved the spring bracket for me. Thank God for machinists!!!LOL!

Pat sorry to hear that.
I guess they are just like any other aftermarket company where "all" parts need some fixing for proper fit. I know aftermarket fenders and other body parts are notorious for not fitting right out of the box. Did not know it went to suspension parts as well.

I ordered a window felt kit for the truck from them a few years back. It was supposed to be for both doors. I am one rattle kit short on the order. And it's to late to do anything about it now. I will just install it and get the missing parts.

And I need some more parts but don't really know where to go except for them. I am about ready to do a $150 order with them for some under hood weather stripping some grill screws & fasteners and a few other odds and ends.
Should I look else were?

I've ordered stuff from NPD, and Dennis Carpenter with no problems. From what I'm told, DC makes the best body panels, so that where I'll get mine. I've heard all of the horror stories about LMC, but thought I'd try anyway.

Try these:

National Parts Depot
Dennis Carpenter
Obsolete and Classic parts
Mac's

On my first quick look some of the nuts and bolts are only LMC so far (grill insert top and bottom screws - grill insert plastic filler nuts - headlight bezel screws - inner door handle nuts). Are they so bad that they could screw up these types of parts? I probably have the screws somewhere but right now it will be quicker and easier just to order new ones.

Yeah, you'd probably be alright getting those. I'd just stay away from them for everything else. BTW, I called them, to see who makes their axles bearings, I was thinking of getting them from LMC, but they woudln't tell me. More than likely, they are imported (chinese), so I bought them locally.

Here is a pic of the upper coil mount brackets. The one on the left is from LMC, the one on the right is stock. See how the one from LMC has a larger dip in it? It won't hold the spring tight that way.

Here are a few shots of most of the front suspension on. Still have to install the axles (forgot to get new axle seals, so have to pick those up), and I'll need an adjustable track bar, since the stock won't work with the 2" lift kit I'm installing. Oh, and get my shocks.

And accomplish it I did! The 67 is now back to a rolling chassis! Here is the pics of the rear end, finished first. Rear end has 2" lift blocks installed.

Pics of the front end. Finding the seals for this axle has been a huge pain. I'll be switching this to a later model 78 or 79 axle in the future, with disc brakes. Still need shocks, drag link (old one is installed now) and the track bar. Springs are for a 2" lift.
