Interchangeable Transmissions for 1990 f150 4x4

Im wondering what transmissions are interchangeable for a 1990 f150 4x4

351 E40D

i currently have a C6 trans avaliable and a 2wd e40d

2wd trans won't work.

C6 is no OD, no locking TC, your ECU is going to miss that E4OD and cause you some issues or at least a CEL. Plus, is it a 4x4 trans? What bell pattern does it have?

Reman the E4OD.
