found a 1980 f-150 at a truck show for sale. its jet black with silver stripes, paint is in perfect condition with no clear coat stripping or anything. no body or interior rust at all! it is honestly in perfect or very close to perfect condition. its 4x with an 8in lift on super swampers, painted aluminum wheels to match stripes, 460 ford with 166000mi(runs very strong), blue cloth interior in great condition, brakes are good, had water and pwr steering pumps just replaced, lights work, sigs work, wipers work, defrost works, 4x works, got chrome bumpers and step bar, tool box, and everything else i can find seems to be great. seems like a nice truck to work with and add stuff to. even won the truck show i went to. he wanted 9900 but i talked him down to 8000$. let me know if you think its worth it...just seems real steep for a 30yr ol truck.

 

Ya, you're right, that is a lot of money for a 30 year old truck, no matter how nice it is.
You could take that money, shop around & buy a nice late model truck with low miles.
But its you're money if you like it that much go for it.
