Exclamation Automatic folding mirrors

I have a question reguarding the automatic folding mirrors. On pass. side my mirror stopped folding in when switch is pulled. Has anyone had this problem and if so what gear, ect should I be looking for when I tear into it. All help is greatly appreciated.

I saw that there is a bulletin on these mirrors but may not be helpful for the extreme situation you describe. It said somehting like mirrors can get out of sync, or motion become jerky if one of the mirrors was being moved intothe normal running position and before it got there a person walked into it or the vehicle was moving and hit a tree or post. Solution is to move mirrors to operational position. then by hand move one mirror at a time back towards rear bumper unitl you hear the noticeable crack (and no further). After both mirrors are in the "crack" position then go inside and pull that switch.

That crack is fairly loud but not breakeage;it is just the std safety break-back in case of impact.

Hope that this works for you.

JohnD333 is correct, move them manually and one in question and it should then work. This is covered in your owners manual
