hey I looked at a 93 bronco this guys selling but he doesnt have the title guess he lost it.he told i dont need a title for a truck or car over 10 years old to register it in connecticut is this true?this is the 1st time some told me this.or is it a lie.i thought you need the title and bill of sale?
i am pretty sure he is wrong. i needed the title for my motorcycle from 1982 when i registered it last year. no title is not a big deal, but it adds cost and time. title search, loss of title paperwork after the search comes back to the current owner.....or it comes back to some other guy, who wont answer your phone calls or cant be found to sign the paperwork. i would check with DMV before you take anyones advice for "not needing a title".

I have purchased an older vehicle in Connecticut, but the seller does not have a title. He says that the vehicle does not require a title. How do I register the vehicle?
The State of Connecticut no longer requires title certificates for vehicles manufactured prior to 1981. In order for you to register the vehicle, you must have a Supplemental Assignment of Ownership (Q-1 form) and a copy of the last registration certificate. You must show continuity of ownership from the last registered owner to you.
