Have an 08 SD with 12mm offset rims with Michelin AT/2s so the tires are proud of the wheelwells about 1.75-2 inches. Looks cool but could theoretically get me a ticket from a bored cop and my mudflaps aren't doing the whole trick keeping gravel from dusting my fenders, doors and quarters. So I think the solution is a set of bolt on look flares that provide an additional 2" coverage. Like the Bushwacker pocket style a lot but the admission price is pretty stiff. To get to the point, I found a set of Stampede "ruff riderz" that seem to look the same but they're like 200 bucks cheaper than the bushwackers. Anyone had any experience with these? Fit/finish etc. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanx in advance.
i just installed a set of OEM style Prestige Fender Flares www.prestigefenderflares.com
i got a great price from "Jason" on this site and they aren't too bad...cost me less than half what Bushwacker wanted.
see my photos in my gallery (or wait, was it one of my posts??) either way, you'll find them on here.
i was shocked that the OEM style were over 4" "wide" (go 'up' the truck) and stuck out like 2".
they have the rivet style also

Gambled on the Stampedes. Arrived UPS today, installed them tonight. I am very surprised at how well they conform to all of the lines in the fenders/quarters. The rubber gaskets also fit very well but are a little tedious to install. Threw away the plastic push pins that were sent for the rears and used 5mm black body bolts with stainless nuts instead. Wish they were a little textured though, the smooth finish looks like something I'll be recoating with Krylon plastic texture finish before too long. Overall, well worth the $250 or so in savings over the bushwackers.
thanks....he's finally starting to settle down a bit, at 16 months...still another year before he's tolerable lol
