Linear Logic Scan Gauge II users - new XGauge codes
#31
Hey guys, I made a video and posted it on my webshots site. It's kinda difficult to see the readings at times, but I did my best while on some bumpy spots in the road. I start by showing readings while driving, and then while cruising, and finally several runs at full throttle as well, all while showing-(Mph/Eot/Ipr/Icp) from my Scangaugell.

New here to the site. Have had the scangauge for about a year, just moved it in the new to me 2000 Ford F350 diesel. I was able to get the TFT, EOT, IPR, And ICP to work. Only bad thing is not sure what range the IPR, ICP should be. Thanks for the codes. I wiss I could get water temp to work there gave me a code to try but numbers are all over the place.

And the AeroForce gauge has two analog inputs. It can be for a bunch of stuff. I was going to wire mine for coolant temp and oil pressure, but seeing oil temps is plenty. Watching coolant temp is pretty much redundant IMHO. I still want to get the oil pressure sensor though. Just curious what it looks like at different temps and all that. The two sensors were going to run about a $100, BUT... look at it in terms of what all those separate gauges would cost. I can see all the stuff I really need to right now for $269, plus the $350 I dropped on my three separates that I would argue are worth seeing full time on analog gauges anyway. If I were to do it over again though, I'd get a ScanGauge, and separate analog Boost and EGT gauges. I'd let the ScanGauge cycle through EOT, Battery, IAT, and Trans Temp and only have a three gauge pod. I don't tow, and the separate trans temp is truly redundant for me now. Seeing ICP & DC is definitely good to have, but not something I watch full-time.

Just got a Scangauge myself. Got codes off their site, and just put in EOT, ICP, IPR, and transmission temp too and HP. Been using LOD and MAP to modify my driving technique. Will be curious how everything looks tomorrow AM with a cold start up with EOT, TFT as I begin my drive into work.

Here are two more new XGauges for folks to try out.
Engine Coolant Temp:
TXD: C410F1221139
RXF: 046205110639
RXD: 3008
MTH: 00010002007F
NAM: ect
The value displayed by this XGauge is only valid after the coolant temperature gets above 127* F. Before the engine is warmed up the displayed value will go up to 255 then start over at 127. This is becasue this PID is scaled for two different ranges. It works good on my 2002 7.3 and seems to be accurate. This has been a long sought after XGauge for the 7.3 crowd for quite some time.
Glow Plug Percent:
TXD: C410F1221430
RXF: 046205140630
RXD: 3008
MTH: 0F5127100000
NAM: gp%
This is a good way to see how long your glow plugs are staying on. They will stay on for quite a while after the engine is running and the glow plug (wait to start) light has gone out.
Give them a try and let us know how they work!

I have an automatic tranny. You are correct that the ODBII PID is not transmitted by the ECM, but the Ford proprietary PID is transmitted by the ECM in automatic equipped vehicles.

Hi Guys, I'm not trying to hijack the thread but have a somewhat related question about this great gizmo.
I have a '09 E350 SD V10 that I just put the cool gage on. Since I'm pulling a 8k# travel trailer I am concerned with the tranny temp. But I don't seem to get a reading with the codes provided on the "Scan Gage II" website - any suggestions?
Thanks so much - now - getting back to the work in process.........
