1956 f-600 won't idle

Hey there pro's took the carb off 3 times and cleaned it out, needles were stuck. Cleaned out the 2 orginal filters which weren't that bad, she starts up but i have to pump the crap out of the acelerator to keep it running. When it's running its still spiting flames out the carb. I guess ill pull the carb off again and get tested on machine.
Any ideas are welcome .

so did you dis-assemble the carb and soak all the pieces in a good carb cleaner?
How did it look inside? any corrosion? Kinda sounds like it's running off the accellerator pump..everytime you stab the gas pedal it gets a blast of fuel...thats what you need to pass and start moving from a stop ,..but too much for idle.

Where are you at in Merryland?

Sounds like a timing issue or it's getting too much fuel??

Hows your pump looking? Not full of the same crap in the carb or something?
