Water/Fuel Seperator question
Howdy yall new to the forum. Just picked up a 1999 F350 Power stoke it has the water in fuel light on so i attempted to use the valve to release the gas /water fluid, had my wife looking under the truck to see where it was going but nothing came out. when i looked where the line that releases the fluid should be it looked like the line was going into the engine block. Any ideas?? i was expecting something to come out of it!

Welcome to the FTE!
If the line is still on the valve and not dumping directly into the valley, it snakes in front of the passenger side valve cover. It only goes about 2/3 the way down the engine block over the suspension and steering components.
Grab a bright light and look from the ground up, you should see it. When I drain my fuel bowl, I will put a 1/2" clear tube over the drain tube and route the fuel into a drain pan for disposal.
If no fuel came out, it is one if three things...
No fuel in the bowl, the valve is broken or the line is clogged/capped. You can pull the soft hose part off the valve if needed to blow air through with a nozzle or to open the valve and see if fuel comes out and into the valley.
Keep us updated.

These are overhaul instructions, but it will give you a good idea of what should be going on.
