Wheel bearing causing ABS to act up ?

My abs brakes started acting up a while back and someone told me it could be due to the wheel bearings...any truth to this ?

There are speed/abs sensors in your front hubs so perhaps they are related.

WOW, It sounds like you are posting the exact same issue I am having.
I posted it a few times now with no results.
I have the same truck and mileage as you.
I would get the ABS kicking in at 10KM/hr and there would be no ABS light on at all or no check engine light either.
I read on another post just to pull fuse#25 for the ABS out from below the dash. The ABS light now stays on, but I have no ABS working at all. It brakes OK like this. It sure would be nice to have it back for the winter. I just picked up a rear hub ABS sensor to replace this weekend as this seems to be a solution to some of the posters. It is the cheap way to test right now at only $30. Hope it works.
I have NO PLAY at all or no sounds at all from my front hubs.
The dealer says there are ABS sensor on each front bearing. These sensors are $230 each. (Holly SH?T) Ya, thats what I said. The whole front hubs with the sensors included are $330 each. That would be the way to go if you know which one to change. He said to try the rear sensor first and if that does not work, then bring it in to the dealer and have them figure it out. It may be a front sensor or something else altogether. Could be a grounding issue.

I found the torque specs which are 188 to 225 foot pounds I beleive it was. I'll be doing the repair this weekend. The assembly came with a wire connection of some sort. Is that for the speed sensor ?

holy crap, that is amazingly cheap....will keep that link for future use.

Looked into it further yesterday and turns out the play came from the outter tie rod, and the slight squeal I was hearing came from rust build up on the rotor. Thanks though.

I am going to clean the rear ABS sensor this weekend first. If that does not work then I will change it with a new one I purchased for $30.
I will let you know if that fixed the problem.
It is located on top of the rear diff as I am told. I have not seen it yet.

I changed the rear diff ABS sensor and there is no difference at all.
Took the ABS fuse out again.
Since there is no ABS light coming on, there is communication between the sensors and the computer and they are working.
I will have to take it in to get an estimate.

I checked all 3 sensors as well....did an ohm reading on them and from what I've read here I beleive they're ok. front sensors read 400 ohms and the rear read 1800 ohms. I'm not sure if that means they're good or not but I'm waiting to hear in another thread.

My abs problem is a little different now, since I messed with them the abs light now comes on when I start moving either forward or reverse.
When I turn off the truck and fire it up again the abs light goes away until I start moving again .
