New Michelin Tire...Finally

For those of us who were big fans of the LTX M/S, but never was available for our stock 18" wheel...

http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires....omCompare1=yes

I'm still amazed why one of the most popular truck/SUV tires made were never available for one of the most popular trucks???

Agreed, but this is the trend of all non-AT/MT truck tires. These M/S-2's have a little less shoulder bite than the original M/S. I noticed Bridgestone has done the same with the Revo-2, which is a newer version of the original Revo which had pretty good bite for a road oriented "all terrain".

The original Michelin M/S can channel water puddles like nobody's business, bite snow and can even sling mud if the tread is on the newer side. Not bad for a "road" tire that can get 80K+ miles of life. Hopefully they didn't neuter the M/S-2 too much.

LTX M&S is an amazing tire...especially for those lucky enough to run 16" rims

but this newer version...meh

there are almost as good tires on the market for a bit cheaper. I'd take the original in a heartbeat, but I doubt I'd go for this new revision

I don't see much of a difference between those two tread patterns...sidewall lugs look about the same.....tread blocks are virtually the same.....i'll bet this new one is just as good as the last one...

Which by the way....i've got them and they're the best tires i've ever owned for an all purpose truck...
