Does anyone have a photo of this (carbed motor) from the front? The PO removed the smog pump and brackets and replaced it with a steel plate and some pipe. I'm not even sure what to look for to put it back right. Just the pass side is cobbled, the alt. is at an 8 deg andle or so and just plain looks like crap. i won't be putting the pump back in, but want the correct brackets. I don't know if 351 brackets are the same. Does the Haynes manual show a good picture or exploded view?
There are 2 brackets you could use, the 85-86 460's had dual smog pumps like this.
Before that they only had 1 smog pump. This pic just has the bracket with no pump.
You can use either bracket as both will hold the alt. The only other difference is the single pump bracket has a hole for the heater hose to pass through while the other bracket used a metal section of hose but I am sure you could find a way around that if you dont currently have it.
