Pop,

After some back and forth with your and my adapter, I would conclude that your OBD device is not compatible with Torque (and or my truck). I have not tried it on my other vehicles.

The OBD device definitely pairs with my Android device and Torque definitely makes a connection through the device. However, the problem seems to be the device's ability to talk to the PCM.

My device does not seem to have that issue.

I think the next step is for you to leave me your Android tablet and I'll see if I can have your Android device talk to my truck using my OBD device.

I realize it's been a while but see if the person that sold you your OBD will swap it out for another. That said, it might cost you more in return postage than the cost of a new device.

David

A good day to hand-mount tires. Some new to me 315's.

ballsy usein them 2 flat bars!!

ive hand mounted a fair share of tires myself, done a few for the f250 with 3' irons for a semi tire.... usually wears me out!

i got to say for a new set of mud tires im very happy with the fierce attitude MT's got LT315/75R16 and they come in load range E so there a proper tire for the truck which is a plus. im somewhere around 40k miles on them! starting to thin though, likely need tires next summer.

Sean, that is hard work! Were you able to set the beads and get them aired up? Did you use ether?

Yes, I did 2 of them (key is to use lots of sudsy water). They're on the truck now. I need to find an old Skool wheel balancer. Until then, I'll stop by the tire store. No ether, just stepped on the tire while airing up to catch hold of the bead.

Tire stores won't mount aged tires.

They did take the old ones (and recycle) off for $5 each and gave me 2 new stems.

Will those guys in your barrio mount olive? j/k

I think it was Beavis & Butthead that said, "Why did Popeye got mad at Napolean?" .....Because he went to mount Olive

@Sean

I hate hand jobs. I'd just take it to a tire shop and have it done. I'll drive out of town if I have to. Might want to visit bill's barrio tire shop.

Then I wouldn't have these fun pics to post...
I visited Mt Olive, NC back in the 90's. Nice little town with a pickling plant. Welcome to Mt. Olive That's Picklicious!

I'm about ready to repaint the steel wheel that holds my spare tire. The tire has been removed so I have access to the entire wheel. Does anyone have any recommendations? For example, paint type, paint brand, is primer required since I sanded down to bare metal in some spots, ...

As far as color, I'm thinking I'll try to match the light grey that is on the other wheels. But Ford white is also a possibility.

I saw a cool video online about paint stripping. Does anyone have experience with the Harbor Freight blasting tanks? The big one (110psi) runs $149.99 on sale plus a 20% coupon. Not sure what else I'll need besides blast material.

you will need a compressor with enough huff n puff (CFM's) to keep up with the blaster......got a fairly large compressor here, 50ish gallon tank and a large old skool Quincey pump and it can still be a tad light on certain applications.

Thanks Justin.

I've got an 80 gallon (?2 stage?) compressor in the garage, along with plenty of hoses. I'm just wondering how hard using the blaster is, any tricks, whether the HF product works, ...

Or whether I should just pay to get the work done.

I wonder if Home Depot rents blasters?
