What Are You Doing To Your Truck?

"What Are You Doing To Your Truck?"
I drove it for the first time in quite a while. ... to Ventura and back. I hit 14.6 pounds of boost on the way up (South) the Camarillo grade, maintaining 65 mph the whole way.
The lug nuts with the recently applied anti seize didn't loosen so I'm hoping I'm good to go.

Took mine in to the transmission shop again today. Have been having random issues with it not finding a forward gear. Had him drive it before and he didn't find anything this time the same thing happened except as I was leaving it finally did it. I hope he figures it out this time. It's a sweet build on the trans with all the right parts just randomly won't find drive after it's parked.

Extremely Happy With Cardone Gearbox
My gearbox has a lot of play in it. I adjusted it. It still has about an 1" of play. So I decided to swap it to the updated Cardone 27-7621N. It's everything they claimed it to be. Steering is tight, no play at all. Cranking the wheel from lock to lock is easier than stock box. If you 05+ super duty guys are considering this box vs the redhead, this box will not disappoint. I got it from amazon for $346 free shipping, no core. That's $345.68 not a penny more.
Redhead is a rebuilt unit. Cardone is an updated unit sold as new. It's a no brainer for me. When a product delivers as advertised, I like to share the info.

I don't think they have anything special for 99-04, just rebuilt like everything else. For 05+ Cardone is the one to get.
I didn't tell the wife I swapped gearbox. But she noticed it right away when she turned the wheel. She used to complain about it hard to steer.

All the rubber lines were pretty weather checked Pop; I started worrying about the condition of the hose interior. No evidence of rub, but it's a good idea for off road situations. I've had uneven pad wear out back for a while despite my attempts to keep the rear slides well lubed. Replaced the rotors too.

did ya have a shop do the work sean?
i did rear calipers a few month's ago, the pistons were not working in unison.
ive been doing the research, and now im slowly gearing up to yank my oil cooler off and put new o rings in... i hope that will solve this oil leak. and prayin my oil cooler is not in need of replacement... seal kit alone is 70 bucks and a new cooler is well into the 200 range.
