Electric choke woes on an Edelbrock 750cfm

Hi All,

I am stuck, I cannot get the hi-idle to engage on my 750CFM edelbrock, its the 1411 model so it came with the electric choke. The carb is only 6 months old, as is my 460 I have the choke wires hooked up right but its being a bear... and a pain in the behind...

please help!

Is the linkage hooked up between the fast idle lever and the choke lever?

If so, is the adjustment screw turned in enough? I had to turn mine in quite a bit from the factory setting when it was new.

If so for both, is the choke housing (black thing) adjusted for your climate? Maybe adjusting it towards the "rich" side if needed.
