The reason I posted this source is because I've used it and it really works. Just be careful and pull through the open fins until you get to the bent ones...keep applying small jerking pulls and the bent fins will straighten and your raditor can breath again.
Also, take small bites, don't go into a mashed area with all the comb fins hitting mashed teeth, start at the edge and work in just a few teeth at a time.
That's right. Just grab a small amount of the damaged fins and gently pull them out straight. Small bites and be very patient. You will be surprised at what a good job you can do. If there is a lot of damage, just get yourself comfortable cause it will take some time.
I usually use a gentle touch with a screwdriver to do this task. Mostly because it requires an Act Of God(tm) to get the radiator GRILLE out of the hood. A screwdriver is the only thing long enough to actually reach the condenser. But it's not all that great for dealing with the bent-over fins.
Took my grill off today and got rid of the bug farm, beach front, and fixed all my damaged fins with a flat head screwdriver. Followed that up with a good washing with the garden hose. Other coolers looked fine.
