That's true, however, think of it this way. Let's suppose that this BD oil is good, that there is enough improvement that it would warrant the extra cost(just enough of improvement that it would warrant the extra cost, not to the degree that LS is hocking it), if you are blending or cutting it with an inferior oil, that could drag down the result to where it would show on an analysis barely an improvement or no improvement at all. Or atleast a "negative" result that would keep people from spending the extra scratch for it, when that isn't the case if there wasn't a blending of the oil.

Now, if it's as good as they are hocking it, then my nit-picking is moot. It's just as someone that has done research, I just really am anal about "loose ends" like this.

There are also other variables here as analysis can vary between person to person to where gains seen by BD might vary as well, but since this is probably(as SteveBricks said) the only thing that we are going to have as it relates to the 6.0, I guess I'm just going to have to pucker up and roll with it til there is more to come in.

I'm going to be the one that brings this bad boy back to the top just because I want to see the results of the oil analysis. Surely it should be done by now. 88stang1 you have it back yet and any pictures or scans for us to see the results?

If you have the scan saved to your desktop go ahead and hit the 'post reply' button, then scroll down to 'manage attachments' under 'additional options'.

Click on manage attachments then browse you computer for the scan and upload it. That will put it in the post.

Thumbs up

Does anyone have any thought on the results what about the sceptics.
Also as a footnote this was the first time using Blue Diamond so there is some blending and the results are still positive compare to Rotella which disintegrated with same amount of miles.
Blue Diamond also had more miles of towing on it round trip to the east coast of Canada approx. 3000miles Rotella had about 500 miles of towing.

Part of the low viscosity on the Rotella sample was probably due to fuel dilution.

I'm not familiar with the format of this oil analysis, but if I'm reading it right isn't it showing an increase in wear metals, except for iron?

I would agree to that but as you may know that the shearing of the oil is the big culprit.
