Deluxe model econoline?

In the early econo's was there a dlx or deluxe model?
I have seen some pic's with chrome trim down the side of them,
is that the only thing that makes them a deluxe? or is there such a thing.

Thanks.

The Chrome spear down the side was not on the first few years. You do not see those spears very much, most people hav e tossed them due to damage to them.
I do not recall a deluxe econo van. I know the Falcon vans were window vans and more of the top of the line.
I seen the vans with Heavy duty or super duty badges on them. I just do not recall a Deluxe.

I have to correct myself here. I just looked in a 65 shop manual. They have listed a Deluxe Club Wagon It will have E13 Or E130 on the identification tag on the door. I guess I do not know what trim package they had on them.

1961/67 Econolines offered "Custom Equipment" packages, which differed depending on the model.

justford is starting off with a positive reputation.
Passenger seat was an option in the first year if I remember correctly or maybe that was just for trucks?? Two sunvisors, and an outside door lock on the driver's door were also options. To many years ago to try and remember.

Those old folding seats. Not very comfortable to sit on. I seen a few vans over the years with them. They got long chucked out and guys put in buckets from wrecks.
Yes the passenger seat was a option in 61 and teh following few years. 61 was the only year that there was no lock cyl. on the doors. It was an option thig then also.
Up til 65 a single sun visor was option also. afriend of mine is restoring a 63 and it only had the one visor in it. He has since cut out for a 2nd visor.
Sorry he has not joined this site. He belongs to Vintage -vans. He is content being a member there.

He is still learning. I been showing him a few tricks and what to watch out for when he was buying those vans. His first one he was so excited til I saw it it and told him it had one foot in the grave. It's undercarraige was so badly rusted as he has now posted. Front springs being held to the van body by 2x4 wood blocks. scary that he drove it like that. It now sits here on my place as a donor vehicle for his van and maybe some of my stuff. He got it pretty cleaned out now. Mostly a shell with glass.
