I need to replace the driver's door glass on my 53. I do believe it is stock tent. Does anyone have a template they can share that I can take to a local glass place to have one made?
why is it always the drivers side window?i need to do both my 50 m-68 and my 40 1 ton,i was just going to remove the passengers side and give that to the glass shopfor a pattern.that way i know it will fit for sure.
both of mine are broke . anti rattle stuff is long gone and it's been a banging away { they were broke when i got her !!! } since ????????????? i got some old ones laying around here one broke one not , but extremely fragilleee . i'm going to use it to take to the glass co. for a template myself .
I ordered new windows through lmc. I took the window out as a template but 2 local glass shops said it would take 3 weeks to cut so I just ordered new ones. Need to get new rollers and anti rattlers. Felt was to thick and causes the windows to get stuck.
I had the same problem with the glass getting stuck after I replaced the missing felts. I ended up removing the new felts and wedging the window gap in the door to open it up. I think my window openings closed up because the felts had been missing for many years and repeatedly slamming the doors by grabbing the door with the window rolled down.
I gave the glass company an old window to use as a template. Their price estimate was double the price that Sacramento vintage Ford wanted. So, I said no thanks and bought the new stuff from Sac Vintage. Good luck, Jag
I would order from one of the truck parts place but they would not have the tint I need. I talked to a local glass place and they would be able to match it.
