Help with 2006 ficm
#5
A FICM is the Fuel Injector Control Module which is responsible for supplying the power for, and, controlling the fuel injectors to put it simply. The most common failure with these modules is with the internal DC to AC converter. Power and ground circuits need to be tested and verified before condemning the module. The FICM (12b599) is covered under the diesel engine powertrain warranty for 5 years or 100,000 mikes, which ever comes first.

Yes It has three plugs underneath it that can be a pain in the....... It is actually mounted on mounts that mount to the valve cover. 2 8mm bolts in back, a gear wrench is handy and 2 either 10mm or 8mm nuts on front. they vibrate loose easily so you may want too put some sorta lock tite on them. (nothing real aggresive though).
Do NOT bend the pins on the FICM or you may be screwed. Make sure the plugs are securely installed.

I am not sure of that. You can look in the tech folder, at the top of the 6.0 page, and find the proper way too test it. it need's to be 48vlts.
(some say 45vlts minimum, but at $200+ a pop for injectors I would want at minimum 47vlts) I have been running a swamps 58vlt for a yr now, some dont recommend them because they say the voltage is too high. I havent had any issues though. (it has only been about a yr though)
