Hey Guys

I have been hanging around these forums for years and never noticed this section. Usually I go to the SD frum, then V10. I have a 1961 F500 that was my wifes Grandaddys. He passed and I got it. The Stock 223 was froze up. Brakes were crap. I purchased a whole 1963 F500 for parts. The vin on it said it was an orignal 223 as well, but it has a strong sounding(no load) 292. The truck is at the shop right now getting refurbished. Meaning I want it start, run and stop safely, then worry about the rust. I have a 14 steel flatbed for the truck when the time comes I am looking forward to riding the dirt roads with the boss lady. Her and Her Grandaddy used to do it in this same truck.Lucky for me my wife only wants the truck primered reddish brown(redoxide color?).That is the way it was when she was a girl and she wants to maintain the trucks character.Only bad problem on both trucks is rust on the frames behind the cabs where bed would end.Guess 50yrs of water has taken it toll. look foward to getting advice here. Later.

Welcome aboard

This section was just created in the past two weeks, which is probably why you didn't notice it
