? for the swap people

I am going to start a new large project this spring and hopping to get my " ducks " in a row here. I have 3 older trucks that I would like to build one out of.

88 F 150 4X2 with good body 302 and AOD
89 F 250 4X4 with good frame 351 and ZF
91 F 250 4X4 with good axles

I plan on using the body inside and out off the 88, the 89 frame and drive train, and the 91 axles. What I need to know right now. the 89 was rolled and needs to be striped down to rolling chassis so I can be put " out of sight " I have the floor pan, computer, peddle set up. Is there other stuff I would be needing to get off the 89 before the body is gone?

Make sure you keep the complete engine wiring harness and maybe even the whole chassis harness unless the '88 chassis harness is exactly the same.

Better check out the alignment/frame of the rolled truck. I got a truck once that was rolled, was going to use the rolling chassis, found the frame was twisted after pulling off the crushed cab and bed.

Better grab out the wireing of the rolled truck just to be safe! I know the harness are diffrent from 87 to the 89 truck I have(one is a AOD the other was E4OD) being a manual and AOD trannys they may be the same with a jumper installed in place of a clutch switch.

was not rolled hard problem was body rot. I have most of the cab and that off so far. looks pretty good. Might need to replace the front and rear cross member as there kind of rotted more then I like. The wiring might be a bit of a problem as the old owner cut out a lot of plugs and all the switches in the cab >.< the engine harness is there however. I should be able to use some of the wiring off the 91 with the 315 W and E40D ?
