For those in Canada -I just went into my Princess Auto store, and they have the Ford factory rear floor mats for $6.99, made specifically for the Aerostar. I think I saw a blue coloured one, but I picked up 2 "mocha" coloured mats for mine.

They're one piece carpet with a rubber grip on the back, and they're as wide as the benches.

 

I wish I can find those at those prices around here. I've been using generics that sort of fit, but not really, and they move around a lot.

Well, I didn't realize they could be available so close to me. I have tan interior, so whatever they are, they need to be in tan. I would prefer carpeted mats, front, second row, and rear if available. Anything for the floor of the cargo area behind the 3rd row seats of an extended van? Plain rubber for that area, just to protect the carpet from the stuff I load there. Would they have "Aerostar" written on them?

 

Well...I'm not sure I can find them locally (where in CA are you?), but I wouldn't be surprised considering that all the dealers used to carry them.

The other thing in your favor is...the mats were an accessory, and accessories cannot be returned to Ford, so the dealers that have them...are STUCK with them.

You want individual tan carpet mats in the front (the second row carpet is one piece), then a rubber cargo mat for an extended van, correct?

Only the individual rubber mats for the front have the Blue Oval. I cannot recall what the cargo mat has on it...if anything.

Aerostar does not appear on these mats.

I'll post the part numbers and who has them...sometime on Monday.

 

I'd be interested in dk blue carpeted mats for the front. I have these crappy JC Whitney mats. The passenger mat has a broken backing and folds over all the time.

 

How about doing a favor, call the following dealer and ask what these individual mats are made from...carpet or rubber...the parts catalog doesn't say.

This dealer wants HIGH BUCK for obsolete parts, so you prolly won't like his prices. There are plenty of others available at other dealers.

I found lots of these same type of mats all around the US in Blue, Mocha, Smoke, and Ruby.

 

Check eBay, I found (bought) several OEM mats. The rear ones are not as wide as the seats as mentioned above, but rather about 8-10 inches wide. Fits nicely between first row and back of driver/passenger area.

 

They must have been in the surplus section in the store. Ive found that the surplus inventory differs from store to store. Which location did you find yours in?

 

I found them in the Langley, BC (Canada) store. They had Mocha and Blue rear mats. No Aerostar logo - but they do grip solidly, that's for sure.

Now, I have to shampoo my carpet to get the colour to properly match!

 

All these mats are obsolete, but there are 1000's still remaining at Ford dealer, obsolete parts vendors.

Ford did not allow accessories to be returned, so the dealers are STUCK with them.

The problem I'm having is...there are three types of mats listed in the parts catalogs, but it doesn't say which are carpet or rubber.

This is the reason I asked the member who wanted Blue mats (post #6) to call a dealer who had them in his area to find out what the hell they are made of.
