I got mine on Ebay cheep, as no one else had bid on it. If you look there, or on Amazon you can get a buy from time to time. If you need it fast I believe DC or LMC are the same but I can't be sure.

There are a few different manuals out there. They all have the same information. I bought one 25+ years ago that measured approximately 6"X10" and about 1 1/2" thick with a gray cover. I also have two originals that are 8 1/2" X 11" and about a inch thick with red covers. I also have a reproduction manual, the type I think both DC and LMC sells, mine has a gray cover with red lettering but I think some reproduction manauls have the red cover. They all have the same content but the reproduction manual I have have fainter lettering and pictures. It's very readable but doesn't scan very well.

Yeh, and I bought one on Ebay a few years ago. It turned out to be a real cheepie, in no time at all the glue between the pages and the binder was gone so now I have "leaflets" in a binder that fall out. Kinda PITA, but like someone said, the info is all there...slim

I bought an e-bay special that has held up well. Red Cover 49-51 including the supplement for 1952. 8.5X10.5. The only real complaint is that the photos did not reproduce well.

The one I bought is an original and is a green 1954-55. Has a few sumges on it, but all said, it is in very good shape. This has been, next to the group here, the best resource on how to fix and restore my truck.

It would be helpful if we knew the year of the truck. Your personal info says you have a 99 F-250 or some such fiddle faddle.

Reason is, if you have a 52, the early 49-51 Ford Shop Manuals covered 49-51 originally, then were reprinted later with a 52 suppliment. The older original manuals do not have that 52 suppliment included.

To answer your question, yes all the reprinted manuals sold by the restoparts places come from the same source licensed by Ford to reprint them.

E-bay is the best source, but if you have a 52, be sure your manual has the 1952 suppliment.

If you are interested, here is a link to a recent discussion we had about manuals. As you can see there are alot. Pictures of the covers. Might be good reading. Herer's the link:

Welcome to FTE by the way.
