Steering wheel problems

I have a 97 F150..this might sound silly but the top of my steering wheel is starting to pit; like dry out.Has anyone else had this problem or know what is causing it?

Steering wheel problems

I have that happening on mine, too. Sunlight and Armor All will do that to vynil. I just went to WallyWorld and picked up a wheel cover for <15 bucks, covers it well, plus its a slightly higher grade fo vynil.
