Pay close attention to page 4 of our instruction manual. If there is no power getting to the switch it will not light up. Double check the seating of the knotches. If their good, make sure it is not in position 0.

To be 100% honest I was not the one to clean the connectors. Nick was doing that while I was searching for Clay for some stuff. Clay looked at it later on and said the pins were cleaned off well possibly on the verge of being cleaned too much. Could that be an issue?
What makes me think it's an issue with the switch is that the connections at both end are in facing the proper way and very well seated and the chip seats well enough to not let the truck start when it's installed.
If it wasn't making good contact then why would the no-start feature work?

I'll try again tomorrow and tape that stupid cord on to make sure it doesn't come loose. This is getting a little old.

Pete, If I were you, I would take the keys out. Pull the black plastic off the back of the pcm. Pull the chip. Make sure the cable is seated good, replace the chip making sure it sets in good and should be even across the back. Next, check the plug on back of switch, make sure it's seated good. Key on, then wiggle the plug on the switch. I wonder if your attempts early on may have damaged the chip somehow. Not sure what putting it in upside down would do, if anything.

Barry it never actually went on. I was looking at the heat sinks thinking WTF how does that seat onto the PCM then I turned it over and saw the actual contacts.
So I've got an idea but I don't know if it'll work or not.
If I had a test light and a good ground could I install the chip and then touch the test light to the cable end and see if it'll light and figure out the issue?
If I'd had the time it would've been easier at RRE because I could've tried my switch in another truck and eliminated that issue.
Unfortunately I do not have a multimeter readily available to me.
