Thanks guys!

Gary, I'm not so sure about that. I'm at six years of ownership now, and the last time the truck ran was four years ago! But this is one project that WILL get done. I'm shooting to have it at least drivable by March 17, 2018. That will mark 10 years since I bought the truck.

I think that's a pretty achievable goal!

Yup. But, is there something going on of which I'm not aware? (Boy, that sounds awkward, but I know that "that I'm not aware of" isn't right. What was it Churchill said? “This is the sort of English up with which I will not put.”)

lol, no. The gf whom becomes the wife hasn't even entered the picture yet.

I've been working so much lately I don't think I could find the time for relationships.

As long as it is a hobby, not an obsession. Like some - of us.

My truck is cheaper and more reliable than any girl could ever be. So I guess the truck wins.

Here's Ole Blue. I recently acquired him from my older brother who had one too many vehicles. Not a bad little truck. Straight body. Has a few runs in the paint but nothing that you can tell from the road. 1981, Straight 6. I just got him so I haven't been able to do much but I plan on learning and that's why I'm here. Why do I feel like I'm introducing myself at an AA meeting?...........

P.S. Hey Fordzilla80, don't worry about the wife and kids! See that sidewalk chalk underneath my truck? Find the right one, and they'll be right next to ya the whole journey! My wife would be very....er..."upset" with me if I tried to sell Blue!!

FNb - Well said on all topics. And that is a pretty cute truck. As for an AA meeting feel, we all have "addictions" and some of us are .... out of touch with reality. Welcome to the circle.

I like the optimistic attitude!

And it is very true that you just have to meet the right person who also at least somewhat enjoys the same hobbies as you.
