It isn't perfect at all, I'm not that great with bondo. You can still see a couple small cracks in it, But I'm gonna take it back out later and see if I can finish it up. Either way it still looks 1000% better than it did.

For the $$$ that you would have into it and how it turned out, it looks great. Far better way to go vs. the cost of a new dash pad or one of those plastic covers. I might just have to try this soon on mine as well.

Thanks, I really wish I had a before pic. But we all know how most of those 80-86 dashes look anyhow. Give it a shot, I'm no bodyman and definitely not great with bondo and it turned out decent.

As clean as propane burns, that engine could last you a million miles if maintained properly. I would grab that truck as well, just for the engine. I'm seriously thinking of a propane conversion when mine needs a new engine.

And yes the 6.9 is awesome.
I've painted more than a few with Rustoleum. Always mixed with acetone and sprayed it on though. I may go this route with this truck as well, but going to try my hand at a two tone, red on top and bottom, white in the middle.

Well I needed to get an 8ft grounding copper rod out of the dirt so I hooked a chain and the old Blue Jay after the neighbor dug it out about 3 ft and I just floored it in 4x4 high. 3 tries and I yanked it out. But I also did this. My dad was lauging the whole time. My dad didn't think it could do it either but the neighbor (whom is a chevy guy) had to be impressed since he is getting a ford. Had the neighbors mouth down he couldn't get it with his Johne Deere Tractor.

It might have, but when the cam gear went last winter I got lazy and dumped an '88 spec 300/M5OD/1356?(what did those trucks have for a t-case?) It had about 303,xxxkm on it vs. the 370,xxx on the original 300/NP435 Combo, runs strong.

The original plan was a nice 10.5:1 compression build up of the original engine to take advantage of the propane but I'm starting to look at the cost of a intercooled turbo setup with a Holset HY35 from a Cummins since the CR is pretty much perfect for such a build, it would make for a nice high torque package.

I see you had a bench in there and switched to buckets. Very nice. What were they from and did you have to do any major mods to make them fit?

Sure is. Not to bad but still was funny. Had the nieghbor yelling at me to stop before we blow our tranny but I just floored and the third time I went flying. I figured either the rod came out or the bumper came off.

In my case the driver's seat needed all 4 holes drilled, the passenger seat needed 3 drilled, one of the front holes lined up where the bench went. I'm actually thinking about swapping the bench back in because the high back seats are right against the rear glass, that and the bench sat futher back, the extra legroom is nice...

Cleaned her up over the weekend. Had new front tires installed, and I repainted my wheels. Did them in "Fire Red" to better suit the direction I'm going with it. 50's-60's Hotrod/Ratrod look.
