May be getting new rims - Alcoas may be available

Hi everyone. I've been off the board a while due to travel and personal stuff but will never forget where "home" is. I hope everyone is doing OK and plan to get caught up here quick.

Has anyone gotten new rims lately? What did you get or what do you like?
I'm looking at getting some new rims. Deciding between 4 styles: MB V-Drive or Predator, or Motometal 951 or 955. I have BFG AT 285 16s load range E. Rim width is 8.5in for the Predator and 8in for the rest. Discount has all of them on sale so I hope to get a good deal. Once I get that done my factory Alcoas will go up for sale, if anyone is interested.

Thanks for any input

post pics of the ones you interested in.

Much easier for the rest of us then us having to search each one.

The VDRive. They look WAY better in person. I've ruled out the Predator.

I meant to link before, but time at work - you know.
I can't find a pic of the MM's to link to but if you go here:
http://www.motometalcustomalloys.com/styles.html
The 951s are 2nd row right and the 955s are 4th row left. I'm really leaning to the 955s at this point.

I kind of prefer the the 955s myself. I have never been a huge fan of wagon wheels.

The 955s I wanted were black/machined. NO CHROME!! But they are not available. I ordered a set of ProComp 8089 black machined wheels. Should be in Friday.

Anybody interested in the Alcoas? I'm offering them locally before I go to the for sale section. I need to find out how much they are worth.

Here's some pics:

I found them on Jegs for $173 - $183 each. They don't have pics so I'm not sure which ones are it. Southwestwheel.com has them for $875 a set of 4, including lugs and caps. I'm thinking $500 is reasonable with lugs and caps. In the bottom pic you can see one of the splined locking lugs.

The rims are in. I hope to get them on this afternoon. Hopefully I'll get the Alcoas cleaned up and ready this weekend or early next week. Any takers? Price is negotiable. Can deliver.

I just love the look of these rims. With any luck I'll be able to recoup most if not all of the cost by selling the factory Alcoas, once I get them cleaned up. The main reason for getting them is the Alcoas are too narrow for the tires and caused sidewall splits on the last 2 sets of 285s. The rims clear the brakes and suspension but are offset about 3/4 to the outside, making the track width a little wider. I had to trim the bottom corner of the front bumper to clear the tire when turning. It barely rubbed.

Damn Chris those look very nice. I also see that you got them at a real good price. How bad was the shipping? I just might need to tell my wife that it is time to replace the rims on the truck. You are supposed to do that every 100k or else they will go out on you...
