Tri-Power Advice
i have just bought an edelbrock 573 tri power intake and three holley 94 2-bbls. i plan to rebuild the carbs in the future, but i have never worked w/ a tri power set up before. can anyone give me any advice. the intake is going onto a 292 y-block engine in my '58 F100. i definitely plan to use a progressive linkage, but other than that i am in uncharted waters! any suggestions on brands of progressive linkages? any help is greatly appreciated!

I'm running a dual 94 setup on my 351W. On a tri power typically only the center carb has the idle setup and choke. One thing to keep in mind with the 94 is that it only likes 2-3lbs fuel pressure. Anymore than that and you will blow out the gaskets and possibly cause a carb fire (don't ask me how I know). So definatley install a fuel regulator and fuel pressure gauge before you fire it up.
Y-Blocks with tripower are COOL.......

Thanks for Your Response!!
thanks for your response '53! i agree w/ you, i think y-blocks w/ tri power are cool as well. have you gotten your dual '94 set up tuned yet? if so, how easy or difficult was it? what size power valve did you use in each carb? do you have any suggestions on types of progressive linkages to look at? i am looking at vintage speed's premium linkage right now! im glad to see any f100 running multiple '94s!

i will agree with 53 on the fuel pressure situation wit dem dere holey's { misspelled intentionally ! } . i too say don't ask how i know ......... there's a reason why i'm putting on a rochester 2 jet . i got mine down to 2 lbs. with the regulator , any further and the adjustment screw would fall out of the jamb nut , and it ran fine and was happy . never had a running tri power but my buddy norm has had several 44 six pack cuda's as of recent history and it's set up like 53 suggested . middle one set the idle etc . the other two was there to dump more in later as your foots gravitational forces took over . norm has a hemi challenger now with dual quads and sheez what a pig !!!!!!!!!! i thought my flatty had an appetite !!!!!!!!!

HD, thanks for the heads up! i did check out Flathead Jack's linkages and I totally agree w/ you. I have now decided to purchase one of his instead of Vintage Speed's. Thank you for the advice '53 on the set-up! I will plan on setting my system up like that as well. I am looking at some new '94 bases from Vintage Speed that I will probably buy when I start the rebuild on the carbs. I am really excited and can't wait to get my new play toy up and running! I really appreciate all of the useful advice and please keep it coming...I can never have too much!!

your set up looks very sweet hd! the linkage does look far superior than vintage speeds! what enging did you say you are running-flathead or y-block? i have a 292 w/ .030 overbore. i will be adding stans headers and my tripower once i get them! i am curious of which power valves and jets to be using. i dont know if i mentioned that in a previous thread or not! i will be installing a air fuel meter when i get my headers, so i can get that worked out!
