Raptor as Border Patrol Truck

Just found this about the U.S. Border Patrol possibly using the Raptor:

Nooo, there is only 5,000. Don't waste then on the border patrol.

The idea is to prevent people from crossing the border. Not entice them! (to get caught, so they can get a ride in a Raptor).

Yeah really!! Aw, they'll stay down there....they can still buy the Lincoln Mark LT south of the border...

I'm really surprised Ford didn't build a special service (SSV) package of the Raptor... all the cool suspension and 4WD goodies, without the expensive extra features that aren't needed. I bet they could make a mint selling such a vehicle to law enforcement, fire, and utility companies.

This is a great idea. Let the trucks actually do what they are designed for, instead of sitting in some pavement pounders garage, because "it looks good".

I like the whole idea of a Raptor XL model ( just add basic features, power locks and windows...) having a rugged interrior you can probably see more of these being put to what they are actually meant to do instead of cruising on the express way
