The gotts mod is when u take the smaller 2-1/2" tube that goes into the fender off. U replace it with a 3" pvc pipe. I used about an 8" piece so i would have room to slide it in the intake tube. I had to sand mine down to get it to go in the fender hole. It works decent. I done this and changed my fuel filter and im getting a little bit better gas mileage. I took the dryer hose off when i went to get it inspected and put the pvc back in it.

I think I'm going to try the gotts mod this weekend, I got some 3 inch PVC laying around already. Sounds pretty easy to do.

A bench grinder works really well for grinding down the pipe to fit the fender.

ya it works good I work in a welding shop and have access to aluminum so I used a chunk of aluminum pipe instead of plastic. I went over the pipe with our belt sander to give it a brushed look. Had to grind for awhile to get it to fit but it turned out quite satisfactory
