The rear u-joint on my 2WD 1994 F250 2WD IDI is worn ( symptom getting vibration at 50-60 mph under load) . The front universal joint I will replace both front and rear u-joints. I will use a vise or clamp with a socket to press them in the driveshaft yoke where needed . I notice a fair amount of sideways play (but no seal leakage) in tail shaft of the transmission . I am wondering if the tailshaft bearing is bad too.

Any comments or recommendations are appreciated.

 

You'd be better off asking this question in the 1987/96 F150 and larger trucks forum, unless you meant to type 1964 instead of 1994.
