Did I score or not? Oil Bath Air Filter.
A friend of mine has a 61 F600 and it has a 292 in it. He took his Oil Bath air cleaner off his and replaced it with an paper element air filter. He gave me his oil bath air cleaner. Is there an adapter plate that will allow me to put that Oil Bath Air Filter on my One Barrel Carb or did I just bring home someone elses junk? Thanks for any help with this in advance.

The debate between oil bath and paper turns very hot - and there are good arguments for both sides.
I prefer the oil bath, as I believe it cleans much better - but it isn't worth antagonizing friends over.
However, I wouldn't think you got a great score, simply because it doesn't fit your truck. If it fit your truck, I would say yes.
There are many oil bath air cleaners on E-bay all the time - check there for one, or look in the classifieds here.

I guess this means that there isn't an adapter plate for the air cleaner? I figure Ford Like many other Auto Companies made one air cleaner and adapted them to all the engines. I will check out the classifieds, maybe someone will want to trade me this one for the correct one. Wishfull Thinking.

1961/66: There were 26 different I-6 & V8 oil bath air cleaners. I repeat: TWENTY SIX, I kid you not.
I-6 oil baths differ between the 144/170 engines used in Econolines from the 223's used in F100/600's.
The 262 I-6 oil bath is different again, as are the 1965/66 240 & 300 I-6 oil baths.
One to three years, one engine size, may use the same oil bath, some of these oil baths are specific to one year.
Variations to the above: Ford offered optional oil baths for all these engines with a larger oil capacity.
Ford did replace some of these 1961/64 oil baths in 1965/66 for use as service part replacements with other oil bath air cleaner kits that allowed the 240/300 oil bath to fit the 144/170/223/262 engines.
When it comes to ID'ing Ford parts, and what the hell they fit, complicated, confusing, fiasco are the names of the game.
Here's anudder example of Ford excess parts. 1968/72 F100/350: There is exactly one clutch pedal, one brake pedal.
1973/79 F100/350: There are TWENTY TWO different brake pedals, SEVEN different clutch pedals. And to make it even more confusing, NINETEEN different power brake boosters.
What about 1967 F100/350's? The brake & clutch pedals used in 1967 are 1967 only.
