Question 1955 F250 Front Brake Drums

I was looking to buy new brake drums from NPD, they do not show brake drums for this year, although they do show brake drums for 57-65, will these work?

welcome to the reason why my 1 ton became a 1/2 ton when i had it . was generally pretty new to these trucks then , now i i have a good deal more knowledge and resources to pool from , but i think you'll find that most of the suppliers deal with the 1/2 tons pretty much . i don't have anything off hand to tell me what your spindle diameter is , but find out , then start looking at later model stuff and hit the bearing co. catalogs . i'm putting 87 ford crown vic discs on my 53 1/2 ton via mix match parts and bearings , and making caliper brackets out of 84 ford 1/2 ton 4x4 spindles ....... a little ingenuitey can get ya what ya want . not to mention the combined intellect and knowledge of the guy's and gals here !

Confused

I'm not sure who "Mac's" is Vintage and I'm not sure what the spindle diameter
has to do with anything 55 f350. This is a stock F250, drum brake set up, the hub is eight lug, is there a difference in the drum offset from 1955 to 1957?

I was surprised to see macs have rear drums listed for 48-51 f2/f3 but show nothing for 51-55. I have a full used set of 12 inch drums that are the late style for 51-52 and I think also fit 53-55 for sale if interested.

Thanks

Thanks fellas, I have the orignal front drums that are in fair shape and could use them, like I said National Parts Depot list front brake drums for 57-65, they measure 12 1/8x2", the brake shoe set I ordered for 51-56 measures
12x2", I just don't know if the brake drums 57-65 will work, different offset maybe. My dream is to make this truck a low-rider dualie, I have a F350 camper with dual rear and disc front, but for now I just want to put it back together and ride. I have rebuilt the front end, new king pins, bushings, new bearings, races. Got a 460 ready to go in once the frame is cleaned and painted, lots of work to be done, ya'll know what I'm talkin about......

12x2", ......
Your drums at 12 1/8" are at the wear limit
You're not supposed to turn them again
