Exclamation tranny swap question

my tranny in my 1994 is completly shot now and i was looking up on wikipedia about the e4od and i was wondering if the 4r100 would work instead of the e4od? from what i read, the 4r100 is the same but just reiforced. let me know if anyone has done this or know if it will bolt right in with little to none for modifications.

Looking at Wiki the start year for the 4R100 is 98 which is the modular engine years. There was some rumors of a few modular engines sharing the same bellhousing as the windsor block but I wouldnt count on finding one to fit your truck.
