My wife and entertained the idea of moving to Montana once... My granddad lived in Hamilton (previously in Stevensville) and when we went to his funeral there we fell in love with the surrounding area there. The only problem we found was lack of employment - doesn't seem to be much around Hamilton except logging...

Right now the thread is up to 1991-1992.
I still have the truck, it is sitting in my driveway with the tires on.
I have never made a gallery.

My next show was in Lynden, Washington, up by the Canadian border. It is a small Dutch town... very conservative. We had to do two shows on Saturday because the town had outlawed any work on Sunday! So we had to be OUT of the fairgrounds before Midnight on Saturday!! Bigfoot 4 was there, driven by Kirk Frankish. We also had "Blast From The Past", a 1957 Chevy Jet Car.

I got wide loaded to the fairgrounds by Chuck Jordan...

And did the show Friday night...

Saturday day...

Saturday night...

Here is a schedule from the show...

If I recall, the truck referred to as "Monster" was in fact "Fire Monster", the old Barbarian van from California. The Quercio brothers bought it and put a flame thrower in the roof.
Unfortunatly, I don't have any pictures of it, or any other pictures from the show. Bigfoot was wearing the original color of blue (it hadn't been changed yet). And I beat him in one of the shows. I came down with a bad flu that weekend. Gary Schott with the Valvoline truck replaced me on the tour that year, because I had so much problem with the engine on the start of the tour.

Well, the year was 1992... I finally made it back on the tour after sitting out for a few weeks. The next trip was to Blackfoot, Idaho.
I hired a friend to follow me with my car. I spent most of my time looking in the rearview mirror to see if he was still behind me!
We took I-84 and went through Oregon and made it to Idaho. When I pulled into the scales at Bliss, Idaho, they threatened to throw me in jail!! I didn't have a port of entry permit. I didn't know I was supposed to have one! Scale house people are real jerks! Must be a prerequisite for the job. LOL

Here we are at a rest stop in Central Idaho...

I had to go to Idaho Falls and do a display at an auto parts store...

One thing I like is when the lifted trucks from the area show up to check out my truck...

Then the time finally came to do the show! The pit area had real nice grass to park on...

Then we moved into the arena before the show...

SHOW TIME!!

A schedule from the show...

Man I don''t remember that stuff...the shows are all a blur...I remember all the stuff between the shows. That's what I take video of the shows and pictures for. I was probably the fast loser.

The Eastern Idaho State Fair - just a few blocks down from where my folks live... My wife and I were still living in Pacific, WA in '92 - we didn't move back to Blackfoot until '93 (the wife is still hating me for that lol - she hates the desert)... I generally don't attend the monster truck shows at the fairgrounds but I'll make an exception if you come back this way again That area where you were doing the show is actually a horse track but they adapt it for other uses - I've seen Steppenwolf and Motley Crue both perform in that pit - you should've heard the local yokels whine and snivel when the Crue came to town!
