Fuel Pressure Gauge price...

I've been working on getting parts together to do a fuel pressure gauge,I was looking at ITP Diesels site(just to get a price idea) and they have the price listed @ $223. for an Autometer Ultralight series fuel pressure gauge. Is this price correct,I had no idea they were that expensive, ive checked the usual places(Napa,Advance,Autozone, and Oriellys)nobody has any type of fuel pressure gauge in stock........Opinions?

I thought the same thing Phil, was going to do that until I seen the price. Subscribing on a quality and cheaper replacement to the costlier gauge setups..if there is any..

Just send Clay at Riffraff an email. He can get you one. You might have to wait for him to get back from his East Coast trip.

the isolator is needed to run a fuel pressure guage in the cab safely and its the expensive part

The difference between the 2 setups is the one from ITP is an electrical based unit and the DI one is mechanical. The electrical one uses a sending unit to sent an electrical signal to the guage so that you can mount it in the cab. The mechanical one uses a hose attached to the port on the fuel filter housing to read the pressure. This one stays under the hood. You cound get an extension or a longer hose to tun it into the cab but if it bursts or leaks you will have one heck of a mess in the cab.

Im not going with the isolated set up,Im going the route Brandon(bdrummonds)went. He has the fuel pressure gauge mounted outside on the cowl at the bottom of the windshield.Someone on here was talking about using a length of black pvc pipe with the gauge inside, but I havent researched that enough for specs.Brandon said he got his from a local parts store,Im still searching.

I think some guys like BDrummonds Brandon comes to mind got his FP gauge mounted outside on his cowl, this way its safe and he can see the spikes in FP, nice option that is. Edit::Was reading your mind Phil...
