Yeah, things are a little better North of the border, but I still know lots of people that are out of work.

Here in Douglas there are not to many jobs out there. When I moved back here, my dad told me once you got a job you better stick with it, cause there are not very many out there. Mostly fast food are hiring and not all of them are. Lots of my friends dont have jobs cause there are none or they are being to picky for a job. Yes i do have friends that are picky.

I have a friend like that, he has been roaming around BC for 6 months without work and is to picky to even apply to the few places that are hiring.

Myself, I am lucky enough to work for a company that mostly works for municipalities doing engineering work.

Thats great Jason, keep up the good work.

The way I look at it is as long as I can put a roof over my son head and food in his tummy and take care of Jeff(my son), then I am good.

Well it's 31* now with lots of smoke in town. There was a fire of some sort just outside of town last night, so that's where it could be from. I know we have something fairly close.

We are sitting at 16C now at 5:30 pm and don't think we will see anything higher today.
Man I feel for ya Zip, with all that smoke and all. We don't have a problem out here and never have to worry about air quality. Ya I know, we are spoiled.

Hope ya all have a good week, as we are signing out and gone for a few days were the sun shines and there is not too much other life around.
