I have a 2001 F250 with the 5.4 4x4 Scab LB. I put new brake pads on the front end a month or so back, in the process, since the truck sits around the garage most of the time, I had to drill out the old slide pins as they had rusted. They didnt get drilled out perfectly so the valleys were a little sloppy, nothing major. Ive noticed now, especially when I turn left at a low speed, or take off from a stop at a low speed the truck makes a humming/rubbing noise. Like a pad dragging on the rotor. When I stop driving I have felt all of the rotors and none of them are hot to indicate a dragging pad. So, im thinking maybe the caliper mounting brackets being drilled out and sloppy is causing an issue. Any thoughts/suggestions? Thanks everyone!

 

I would replace the caliper brackets and pins at the very least. They can be pretty particular, and if there is any question as to the operation of it, replace it.
