With all the recent "no-start" threads, I just ordered the parts for a fuel pressure reading in the cab (single pillar pod). I believe that knowing the fuel pressure can serve to prevent future injector damage and help in troubleshooting. Still waiting on funds for a DashDaq though.

I bought the ITP fuel line, a sending unit and an "Egauge":

ITP fuel line adapter - $38
Sending unit - $60
Egauge - $66
Single gauge pillar pod - $10

Looking at the total, just for troubleshooting, the price is very high. Hopefully to detect issues before impacting injectors, it will prove worthwhile.

In the meantime, I am becoming more and more convinced that an autoenginuity is a wise investment for "aging" 6.0L trucks.

Update?

Honkey,

Any update? Ironically, I began having the EXACT same problem this morning....truck cranks, but won't start. Fires for maybe 1/2 a second after 12-15 seconds of cranking...

Anxious to hear the diagnosis on your issue...will help me figure out mine!

Honkey, good to hear you're back up and running. Had mine towed in to dealership yesterday...FICM bad as well. Luckily they had one on hand so I'm on the road again too. Unfortunately, I'm past warranty (111K)...so set me back a couple bucks

Sounds like Ford has finally found a way to recoup some money on their warranty losses. I do know that they have come out with a lower voltage version of the inductive heating flash for the newer trucks. I'm going to get one to send to ID to have it removed completely.

The final statement on the work order said FICM voltage staying constant 49 volts. The two above that was 23v and 33v. Perhaps the voltage is the problem with these things.

I know that.......

I was asking you what the values for all of them were, SUCH AS ficm vpower was...., etc. I believe there are 4 of them that are necessary for ignition, and ficm sync, etc.
